This is the first all brass shotgun  shell that I have found. Wire brushing the base of it revealed Winchester no 10 .The place I found it is the cool part.  I was at the family farm and decided to detect the dirt floor of the big old hip roof shed that we parked the tractors in at night.  The sad remains of the shell was maybe two inches down and it is something that we had walked over it for many years. Next trip there I can pull out some equipment to do a better job of searching that floor.  Nowhere in the old family stories is mention of a 10 gauge shotgun.

Nice find. And that sounds like a honey hole spot to detect.

Pretty cool an all brass shotgun shell! I've dug a bunch of head stamps but only 2 all brass shells, and that one looks pretty old.
